Academic Advising is a series of supportive activities to assist students with achieving their academic and career goals. Advisors support students to:
- explore academic options and opportunities
- choose academic programs (majors, minors, and/or certificates) based on their interests
- select appropriate courses for their program of study
- monitor their academic progress
- connect with academic support resources
- stay informed about the University's deadlines, policies, and regulations
There are two types of advisors at TUJ: Academic Advisors in the Academic Advising Center (AAC) and Faculty Advisors. AAC advisors provide comprehensive academic advising covering all degree requirements, including General Education, college, and major/minor/certificate requirements. Faculty Advisors focus on the requirements for their respective majors and minors.
