An American Education

As an American university, TUJ offers flexibility in enrollment, transferability of credits, and focused majors built on a liberal arts foundation.

American Academic Calendar

General Education + Major + Electives = Degree

A bachelor's degree is awarded upon the successful completion of the General Education (GenEd) curriculum, courses required for the major, and electives. The first two years of a bachelor's degree program is typically spent fulfilling GenEd, consisting of 11 courses in nine areas. GenEd allows students to explore various areas of study before declaring a major, typically at the end of their sophomore year. Internships and independent research projects are typical in a student's junior or senior year.
