The library's main mission is to support TUJ students in the Undergraduate, Graduate, and Bridge programs. We also welcome TUJ alumni, current Academic English Program students, those enrolled in Continuing Education courses, and guests from Setagaya-ku. These visitors are classified as "Guests."
Alumni can access the TUJ library and may borrow up to three items at a time, including books and DVDs. The checkout period for library items is four weeks, while videos have a one-week checkout period.
When visiting, please identify yourself as alumni and present your TUJ Alumni Card.
To access Temple's full text online resources, alumni must visit the library in person.
Current students in the Continuing Education and Academic English Program at TUJ can access the library and borrow up to three items at a time, including books and DVDs. For more details on borrowing privileges and library policies, please refer to the provided information.
When visiting the library, remember to bring your TUJ Continuing Education or Academic English Program (AEP) card.
You’re allowed to check out a maximum of three items at a time, which can be a mix of books and videos. The checkout period for library items is four weeks, while videos have a one-week checkout period.
Even if you’re registered in the system, you may need to show a photo ID when checking out materials. Please note that we do not issue separate library cards.
Musashi University Faculty and Students

Approved students from the following High Schools are permitted to visit the TUJ library and use research services and resources:
- Canadian International School
- The British School in Tokyo

Residents of Setagaya-ku aged 16 and older are invited to visit the TUJ library. Please bring a photo ID that confirms your Setagaya-ku residence.

A benefit of being a TUJ Donor is library privileges. Prior to using the library, the office of Institutional Advancement must inform the library regarding your donor status.
To check out books, bring a photo ID which verifies your name and place of residence.

If you do not fall into one of our visitor categories, but would like to borrow books that are owned by TUJ, contact your local library (your affiliated university or public library) and request that they borrow the materials for you from TUJ. Our library lends materials to outside institutions, but not to individuals.
Guidelines
- Approved guests must sign in on the library “visitor” tablet when visiting.
- You may check out up to three items at a time, including any combination of books or videos. The checkout period is four weeks for books and one week for videos.
- You will be asked to present a photo ID when checking out materials. Library cards are not issued.
- You are responsible for the replacement costs of any lost or damaged materials.
- Guests and Alumni do not have access TUJ library databases from outside the library. If you require access to library databases, please see the staff at the library front desk.
- Access to the library's inter-library loan (ILL) services is not available for guests.
- Copy machines and printers are available for use and require payment via PASMO or Suica. Scanning is free of charge.
- Guest access is limited to the library only; other TUJ facilities should not be used.
- All guests must adhere to the institution's Code of Conduct.
- Temple University Japan Campus staff reserve the right to revoke library privileges if there are concerns about non-compliance with these rules.
