I think the MiM is a very good Program for non-business major who realize that they need business knowledge in their careers. I teach the Business Fundamentals I course. This is an intensive introductory course that develops the knowledge of the students about economics and the economy. The economy of a country is the environment that businesses live and thrive in. In the course, the participants get to understand about the economic way of thinking and how economists view the economy from the micro and macroeconomic viewpoint. The course develops the knowledge of the participants to be able to analyze the specific environment and market that firms operate in.

The MiM program is an intensive one-year Master’s program that needs a serious commitment and enough time to be dedicated for completing the amount of tasks and homework required. This is not meant to scare participants away but to put them in the correct mind set and give them a clear idea of what to expect during this intensive year.

Do you know that the market capitalization (=market value of shareholders equity) of Tesla is greater than Toyota Motor? Meanwhile, do you know the sales volume as well as operating profit of Tesla are smaller than Toyota? This seemingly mysterious phenomenon occurs because the value of a company is determined by its future performance, not by the current accounting performance. The Financial Management course will talk about how the value of a company is determined.

In order to estimate the value of a company, you should incorporate, synthesize, and integrate everything you learn in MiM program such as accounting, strategy, marketing, human resource, product development, etc. because the company's future performance depends on a variety of factors. Have fun and enjoy valuation with your friends!

An organizational strategy is not just a plan—it's a dynamic framework that ensures coherence in decision-making, effective use of resources, and sustainable growth. It defines how an organization navigates the complexities of its environment and drives a company toward long-term success and growth. It serves as the roadmap for how the organization will allocate its resources, manage its operations, and respond to external challenges. In this class, students learn frameworks for analyzing industries, evaluating competitive positions, and formulating strategies by putting themselves in the strategists and company governance positions. Emulating real-life cases, this class prepares you to think critically about how businesses can have a positive impact and have sustainable growth that is meaningful and productive.

Capstone: Internship/Practicum

The internship/practicum is integral to the MiM program. It is the capstone of the year with the MiM program, and it culminates in a hands-on internship or a real-life practicum business plan/research project. The value of the program is in its real-life application of what students have learned during the MiM program and how they have tied their education at TUJ together with past experiences and future aspirations.

As the name implies, this course is a capstone of the year with the MiM program culminating in a hands-on internship or a real-life practicum business plan/research project. The value of the program is in its real-life application of what students have learned during the MiM program and how they have tied their education at TUJ together with past experiences and future aspirations.
