Types of Admission

We offer two types of admission into the program, conditional admission and formal admission. Typically, students based in Japan initially apply for conditional admission.

Conditional Admission

If one or both of the following conditions apply, and if students otherwise satisfy all remaining admission requirements, they may seek conditional admission.

  • English score falles below but close to the required level.
  • You need more time to submit recommendation letters.

The credits and grades earned will count towards the degree if the Law School officially admits the student. Students applying for conditional admission may apply to start in any semester.

  • Conditional admission does not guarantee formal admission to the program.
  • Temple cannot sponsor visas for students applying for conditional admission.
