Visa application deadline. Applicants who do not have permission to reside in Japan (via citizenship or prior long-term visa) may apply for a student visa through TUJ.

June 17, 2025

Final program application deadline

The inaugural class will run from September 2025 through August 2026. Admission decisions will begin in December 2024 and continue on a rolling basis until all spots are full. Please apply early.

Tuition

For the MS in Communication Management degree, 31 credits (11 courses) must be completed, and the estimated program cost is ¥2,945,000 (including consumption tax). Payment plans are available.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Global Leaders Scholarship

A scholarship of up to ¥200,000 will be granted in the form of tuition remission. Selection based on merit. Recipients should have a 3.25+ GPA, strong recommendation letters, exceptional essays and a demonstrated commitment to community and global leadership. All eligible applicants will be automatically considered. Separate application not required.

Early Admission Scholarship

A scholarship of ¥100,000 will be granted in the form of tuition remission. Applicants must apply by the Early Admission Deadline (February 28, 2025) and be admitted to the program to be eligible for this scholarship.

Temple Alumni Rewards

Temple is committed to your success. A 5% tuition scholarship will be granted to alumni who are admitted to the program.

U.S. Federal Financial Aid

Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. can apply for Federal Student Aid from the United States. Applicants who are either U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents can complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by visiting the Student Financial Services (SFS) New Tab website of Temple University Main Campus.

All applicants are encouraged to become familiar with the SFS website information. The Temple University School code for FAFSA applications is 003371. For any inquiries regarding Federal Student Aid, contact the TUJ Financial Aid Coordinator at . The SFS contact for TUJ students is .
